Performed by ASKO November 12 and 14, a new work commissioned by ASKO with the assistance of NFPK+ featuring Dirk Luijmers on Harmonium and an original instrument designed for the piece by Kate Moore. The program featured a retrospective of works by one of Kate's esteemed teachers Martijn Padding and a new work by Anke Brouwer.

These sound sculptures were built at an artist in residence program at Laughing Waters Road in Eltham, Victoria, Australia. This event also featured work by my colleague installation artist Kath Fries who built fragile miniature installations featuring thread spider webs, mirrors and copper spirals. My work was to create mini sound sculptures that captured and amplified the sounds of the property.

Tour to China
In 2008, being the recipient of an Australia-China Council Grant, Kate travelled to China to work with pianist Ross Carey, giving performances and workshops at the Sichuan conservatory in Chengdu and the China Conservatorium in Beijing in connection with the international congress on women in music.

The work was premiered by The Song Company during MODART07 in Sydney (Australia) and has since been on tour to the Redhouse Arts Centre Syracuse NY (USA) and The Galway Arts Centre (Ireland).

This piece was built during the Floating Land Festival in Noosa, Australia.
In 2001 Kate Moore was awarded a prize that enabled her to travel to the Paris conservatoire to work with resident ensemble Syntonia who premiered her winning piece "Sketches of Stars" for string quartet.
